ST. JOSEPH PARISH MISSION WITH Fr. JACK CONLEY
Rekindling the Fire, is a mission when we come together, in prayer, and allow ourselves to once again fall in love with God. All are invited to this Mission that will take place at St. Joseph Parish on January 19-22.  Sunday, Jan 19@7pm-8pm. There will be two sessions on Monday – Wednesday, one at 11am-12pm and 7pm-8pm. Fr. Jack Conley will be accompanying us in this Mission.
 
THE 16TH ANNUAL WALK FOR LIFE
The 16th annual Walk for Life will be held on January 25th in San Francisco, and is an important opportunity to stand up and be a voice for the unborn. Notre Dame School will be hosting a bus for those in the school and parish communities who are interested in attending. The bus will leave from the school parking lot at 9:00am, and is anticipated to return around 6:00pm. To register, please come to the school office (1781 Marshall Road, open weekdays from 7:00am to 4:00pm) to complete the registration form and pay the fee of $30/person. Please note: seats will not be considered reserved until the form is complete and payment has been received.
 
CRAB FEED FRIDAY, JANUARY 31, 2020
Tickets for our Crab Feed are now on sale in the narthex after Mass.  The Crab Feed will be on Friday, January 31, 2020 in the parish center.  Donations for the silent auction may be dropped off in the parish office.  Proceeds send our Youth Ministry to summer camp and conference.
 
ROCKY RAILWAY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL FOR CHILDREN
Get ready to climb aboard the train through the Rocky Railway for Vacation Bible Study 2020 coming soon to St. Joseph Parish. Campers of all ages from preschool to 6th grade are welcome to participate in this week-long adventure from June 15 to June 19, 2020 from 5:30pm-8:30pm. Cost for each camper is $75. Registration forms will be available in the parish office beginning Monday January 13, 2020. ADULT CHOIR PRACTICE
Consider joining the Parish 10 am Choir. New members are always welcome as we learn new music together. The choir has begun preparation for the Lent and Easter Season. Rehearsals are every Thursday from 7 pm-9 pm. Contact our Music Director, Manolito Jaldon, for more information.
 
BIBLE STUDY
If you would like to have a deeper relationship with God and a better understanding of your faith, then join us for Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible. You will not only benefit personally from being a part of this study; you will also help to bring about a profound renewal in our parish as we grow closer to Christ. St. Joseph Church will be offering this Bible Study from Ascension Press, facilitated by Deacon Scott Sexton, every Tuesday starting on September 10, 2019 to October 29, 2019. Adults age eighteen and older are welcomed to participate in this Bible Study. For more info please contact Jerome at the parish office.

FOOD DRIVE
This weekend will be our monthly food drive for St. Mary’s Food Locker. Please remember to bring your donations of canned and nonperishable food items to help those in need in our community. Thank you your generosity.
 
PILGRIMAGE TO PORTUGAL- SPAIN– FRANCE WITH FR. JOSHY MATHEW
16 Days 14 Nights from September 7-22 of 2020. For a brochure and complete details, contact Patty Suter at 916-835-1458 or psuter1@frontiernet.net. The cost of the Pilgrimage is $4590 per person in a double occupancy from San Francisco, with an additional $800 fee for single occupancy plus $400 Travel Insurance (optional).  A deposit of $350 per person is due with your registration, with final balance due on or before, May 25 of 2020.
This trip is limited to 20 travelers.

SUPPORT GROUP
The healing support group will be meeting on Saturday, January 18 at 10:00 am in the church meeting room. The purpose of the group is to help people heal from abuse, grief, and other painful life challenges. They meet every third Saturday of the month.
 
TPS CONSULTATIONS
Sacramento Food Bank in partnership with Catholic Charities, is NOW offering free consultations for individuals with Temporary Protective Status (TPS) on Wednesdays from 1 pm – 4 pm. No appointment necessary. See the flier in the narthex for more details.

PARISH REGISTRATION
New to the parish? Consider registering to our parish. Being a parish member is a commitment to practice your faith. A sense of belonging and identity in a parish community. Registration enables the parish pastor and staff to get to know you better, to welcome you and to minister to you. Registered active members are eligible for sponsor/godparent validation and more.
 
WEDDINGS & QUINCEAÑERAS
St. Joseph is currently looking for volunteers to support our liturgical team for weddings and quinceañeras. Members of this ministry assist the priest at the Mass itself and also help to coordinate details with families ahead of the celebrations. Availability on some Saturdays and weekday evenings is needed. We especially need volunteers who can speak Spanish. If you’re interested in being part of these important celebrations or if you would like more details, contact the parish office.

Come pray the Rosary with your parish community. Opportunities to pray the Rosary are available at the following times:  Weekdays before morning Mass (M, Tu, Th, F at 6:20 am) Mondays at 6:00 pm (Flame of Love) Wednesdays at 3:15 pm – Rosary Club Saturdays before morning Mass (7:30 am)
