DIVINE MERCY
In celebration of the Feast of Divine Mercy on Sunday, April 28th our Divine Mercy Cenacle will be doing a 9-day Novena for Divine Mercy in the chapel. The times are listed below:
Good Friday, April 19 – 6:00 pm Holy Saturday, April 20 – 3:00 pm Easter Sunday, April 21 – 3:00 pm Monday, April 22 – Thursday, April 25 – 6:00 pm Friday, April 26 – 7:00 pm Saturday, April 27 – 6:00 pm
In addition, the St. Joseph Parish Vacation School (VBS) is inviting everyone to solemnly honor the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus on Good Friday, April 19th at 3:00 pm, by praying and chanting the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.
Please join us in celebrating joyfully the Divine Mercy Sunday, April 28th. At 2:30 pm, we will publicly venerate the image of the Divine Mercy through a procession and offering of flowers. At 3:00 pm, we will pray and chant the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy.
Through St. Faustina, Jesus has promised us, “I want to grant a complete pardon to the souls that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion on the Feast of My mercy” (Diary, 1109). To receive the “plenary indulgence” or complete remission of our temporal punishments due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven requires certain conditions to be fulfilled on Divine Mercy Sunday; we should:  Celebrate the Feast on the Sunday after Easter;  Sincerely repent of all our sins;  Place our complete trust in Jesus;  Go to Confession, preferably before that Sunday;  Receive Holy Communion on the day of the Feast;  Venerate the Image of The Divine Mercy;  Be merciful to others, through our actions, words, and prayers on their behalf.
