Sacrament of Confirmation
Seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church
One receives the Holy Spirit and becomes an adult member of the Catholic Church. Adults wishing to be Confirmed should sign up for our RCIA program.
Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the “sacraments of Christian initiation,” whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. For ‘by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed’.” (CCC 1285)

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
The Rite of Christian Initiation is a process whereby individuals interested in exploring the Catholic faith have an opportunity to walk “The Catholic Walk” over a period of time and if they so choose be initiated fully into the Catholic Community.
“Go therefore and make disciples for all nations….teaching them to observe all I have commanded you”.
(Matthew 28:19fl)
