SIMBANG GABI NOVENA MASSES
How are you preparing for this coming Christmas? St. Joseph Parish will have festivities for Christmas as we joyfully prepare and anticipate the promise of a Messiah. We will have the 9 Days Novena of Holy Masses at 7:00 pm on December 15th – 23rd. Bishop Soto will be our main celebrant on December 18th. There will be fellowship after each Mass.
All are invited to this celebration. If you’ve never been to a Simbang Gabi Mass, please come to experience this tradition, enrich your faith life during this Advent season, and have fellowship with our parish community. Call or email Phoebe Fernandez @ (628) 333-5831 or stjv.events@gmail.com with any questions.

ACA REPORT OF GRATITUDE
This Thanksgiving, as we reflect with gratitude for the many blessings God has given us, Catholics throughout the Diocese are invited to view the Annual Catholic Appeal “Report of Gratitude.” By coming together as Catholics, see how parishioners have helped social service agencies in Northern California to provide hope and help to our brothers and sisters in need. More than 253,000 individuals and families, through love and care inspired by Jesus Christ, moved closer to independence and dignity. Take a moment to see the difference you’ve made this year. Visit scd.org/ annual-catholic-appeal.

FIRE RELIEF COLLECTION
Next weekend, November 24-25, we will have a special collection to assist the fire relief efforts in Paradise and the surrounding areas. Please be generous in your support of a community devastated by this disaster, as we continue to pray for God’s comfort and strength for all affected.

FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT
Come join us for another Movie Night on Friday, November 30th at the St. Joseph Parish Center. This month we will be watching The Star, in honor of the upcoming Advent and Christmas seasons. Doors open at 6:45 pm and the movie will begin at about 7 pm. Admission is free and open to all parish families. Everyone is invited to wear their favorite Christmas pajamas. Save the date for our Crab Feed hosted by the Youth Ministry on January 25, 2019! Proceeds will send our young people to summer camp and conference.

REMEMBERING OUR DEPARTED
The month of November is a special time to remember the faithful departed in our prayers. In preparation for this, the Book of the Names of the Dead is available in the narthex. In this book you can write the names of your departed loved ones as a special prayer intention. There are also offering envelopes with space to include the names of those you wish to be remembered at our Masses throughout November. These can be placed in the collection baskets. Thank you.

YOUTH AT HOLY HOUR
Starting November 16, our Youth Ministry will be leading songs to aid worship and reflection during Holy Hour every third Friday. Join us in adoring our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.
