Since 2003, the Knights of Columbus have sponsored over 60,000 wheelchairs for children, teens and adults who needed one but couldn’t afford one. Please join the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Renier and representatives from the American Wheelchair Mission, to learn how $150 can purchase and deliver a free wheelchair to someone in need. “WHEELCHAIR SUNDAY”, June 9 & 10.

St. Joseph Parish is beginning Adult Confirmation classes! Are you an adult 18 years or older who still needs
Confirmation? Come and complete your baptismal graces this summer! Classes will begin Wednesday, June 13 at 6:00 pm! The program will end on Wednesday, August 8 to prepare you for Confirmation in November.

To all golfers and golf aficionados, this is your chance to shine. Use your talent and passion for golf to serve God and our parish. St. Joseph Parish will have a fundraising golf tournament on August 18, 2018 at Paradise Valley Golf Course in Fairfield. We need golf players and sponsors for the raffle drawings and silent auction. Faith Formation Registration for the next school year 2018-2019 will begin this Sunday, May 20 with an open registration from 9am-3pm. You may also register starting this week in the parish office. Please come ready with your child’s baptism certificate and registration payments.
The Faith Formation program offers religious education classes for first graders (First Communion preparation) through Confirmation. Classes take place on Wednesday
Our next baptismal preparation class in English will be held on Tuesday, June 5 at 7:00 pm.  There will also be a Spanish-language class  offered on Sunday, May 20 at 3:00 pm. These classes go over the meaning of the sacrament of baptism and are required for both parents and godparents prior to a baptism in the Catholic Church.
The class is free for registered parishioners who sign up in advance or $10 for each person at the door. Please call or visit the parish office to sign up.  Please note that the classes must be completed and all other  documents submitted at least two weeks prior to the date of baptism.
Get ready for the 4th annual Priests vs Seminarians basketball game, which will take place on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the game starts at 7:00 pm. The cost is $15 per adult, $60 for a group of 6 adults or $5 for students (K-College).

Transitional Kindergarten Extension Director
This is a new position. Students (16) in the morning TK will be in an enrichment environment where their day will be extended with learning activities and play. Student hours are 11:15 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. The director will start fresh in building and running the program. The right person will have several years experience in a pre-school environment, and is great at planning activities and working with little ones. Curriculum is available.
Instructional Assistants – Full and Part Time
Assistants work in the classroom taking their direction from teachers in helping students. They also monitor students on the playground. They help our program run smoothly.

Young men between the ages of 13 to 17 are invited to the Quo Vadis (“Where are you going”) summer retreat. Participants will be able to listen to vocation stories, have fun, pray and learn about the different charisms and vocations (consecrated, married, religious and single life) to begin thinking of their own calling.

Dolly Braida is starting another support group next Saturday at St. Mary’s Church in room 7 at 10:00 am. This group is designed for anyone who needs help through the grieving process and from any pain from physical or mental abuse, and from any kind of pain. It will be held at St. Mary’s church every 4th Saturday.
